3D printer

  1. The registration process of the printer only needs to be done once, namely the first time you wish to use the Oral3D Dicom Converter (software), afterwards, it will remember your printer automatically and therefore you’ll be able to print all your 3D models automatically.

    The steps you need to take are the following:
    1) Go to the touch screen of your printer
    2) On the main menu, select “Cloud”
    3) Select the option “Oral3D”
    4) Select the option “Generate code”
    5) Enter the code into the field number 5
  2. In this case it is recommended to do unloading and loading of the cartridge (see a video). After that it is better to make the test print (see a video).
  3. In the case you have not used your 3D printer for more than 2-3 weeks, check the question 2 of this section. After that please do a bed leveling (see a video). When you have done all previous steps, please try to 3D print your model again.
  4. In this case we recommend to clean the buildplate carefully with alcohol, especifically isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. We recommend to do a bed leveling after the cleaning (see a video). After that you can do unloading and loading of the filament (see a video) and test printing (see a video). Consider, that if the filament is old (more than 12 months), it can also affect the printing process. In this case it is needed to change for a new one. Be aware that the temperature of the environment (of the room) can affect the process. It can be too cold for the filament to attach properly to the buildplate.
  5. If the Load/Unload process was not completed properly, an error message and instructions will be displayed on the screen. You can send us an email with picture and error code to [email protected] and we will help you with instructions to follow.
  6. The 1st option:
    While the cartridge is not installed, please go to Setting – Extruder Menu
    1) Select “100”
    2) Press the upward arrow
    * See if the filament comes out
    * If it does not, please contact us by email: [email protected]
  7. If you have a problem with a filament stuck, you should follow the following to steps in order to solve it.
    1. You should start with the “nozzle cleaning”, which allows to higher temperature and remove easily the filament. To process it: go to “Settings” on the main screen of the printer and press button “nozzle cleaning”. The process will start, it will take around 5 minutes.
    2. Wait till the moment when you can see that the temperature is high (this level is indicated on the screen of the 3D printer).
    3. Once the temperature is high, you should remove the white protection. After pushing down the black part you pull the white tube and it comes out.
    4. After that remove all the stuck filament.
    5. Then put back inside the tube and white protection (from step 3) to secure it.
    6. Now you can load a new cartridge and with it the process is finished.
  8. One of the fastest ways to fix this problem is to 3D print the missing part, the snap ring. In order to process it, you should follow next steps:
    1. You need to do the whole process using Sindoh software

    3. You can find in our manual, “How to 3D print with 3DWOX”, all the steps which you have to follow for 3D printing with Sindoh. Here you will see basic steps in order to 3D print the snap ring:
      1. Open the program and upload the downloaded before STL file
      2. For this model you do not need any support part, so you can directly send your file for the printing
      3. You can do it directly from the software using the local network or export your file and save it to your USB drive.
        1. Local Network: In order to send the file directly to the printer through the network, you have to connect your 3D printer to the same 12 network, to which is connected your PC. You can do it going to the “Setting” on your 3D printer and then clicking on “Network” button, there you can choose the needed network connection. After that the only thing you have to do is to press on the “Print” button situated on the right side of the screen. The printing process will start now.
        2. USB drive: insert the USB drive into your computer, then click on the “File” button in the software and press “Save G-code”. Now give the name to your file and choose to save it on your USD device previously inserted to the PC. After it you can take your USB drive, connect it to your 3D printer and click on “Print” button where you choose the file for printing. Press “Play”, and the process will begin.
      4. IMPORTANT: During the 3D printing process for this detail you have to hold down the filament as you do not have the snap ring on it.
  9. The time of the 3D printing process depends on the size of the model (region selected). When you start the 3D printing process on the screen of the printer, you can see the time it will take to finish it.
  10. Different things can affect the 3D printing process. Here we will mention some of them:
    1. Electricity issues - if you have problems with electricity (you know that it can be unstable), we recommend having UPS (Uninterruptible power supply). This can help in the case if electricity goes down during the 3D printing process.
    2. Temperature issues - in some cases temperature of the environment can affect the process. It is highly recommended not to open any doors of the 3D printer (front and upper) during the 3D printing. It is possible that outside temperature can affect the final result as well.
    3. It is better to avoid pauses during the printing as it can affect the final result. As during the pause, the inner temperature of the 3D printer decreases.
  11. In this case first of all you should check that there is no problem with electricity. After that be aware of the instructions put on the screen of the 3D printer. There you will have an error number and name of the problem. You can directly follow the steps indicated on the screen or send us an email to [email protected].


Oral3D software

  1. Yes. Follow the same process as for CT scan, but select the desired STL file from your PC.
  2. Yes. Our Dicom Converter is able to process it and prepare for 3D printing. Please check carefully the result shown in the inspection page.
  3. In this case you should check that your 3D printer is properly connected to Dicom Converter (Question 1 in the FAQs - 3D printer)
  4. It means that Dicom Converter could not find any CT/CBCT scan among your files. Please check that files are correct. If you are sure, that you are uploading the right files, send us an email to: [email protected]
  5. In this case you should check your internet connection and be sure that you are uploading the right files. If problem consists, send us an email to: [email protected]
  6. In this case, it means that you have uploaded only 1-2 files from CT scan. See Question 1 in this section to follow up the whole process of uploading.
  7. It means that your CT scan is not full. Please insure that you have selected all needed files. Check Question 1 of this section.
  8. In this case you can request a manual cleaning by clicking on the corresponding button on the inspection page.
  9. It means that Oral3D team is going to review your CT scan and clean it manually. After the request your model will be uploaded to your account. You can find it in “3D models” section. You will be notified by email, when the model is ready.
  10. Yes. You can find all your models by going to “Dicom Converter” and “3D models”. There are all your previous models, which you can inspect, download and 3D print.
  11. In this case, ensure that you have selected the part which is presented on the CT scan (in some cases CT scan can be only for upper/lower or a part of the jaw). If it is correct, use “manual cleaning” function or contact us by email - [email protected]
